Nick shares the voice acting for his upcoming Super Haters video comic while Ross can't remember the movies he watched in the past two weeks.
Then it's time for Ross's deviantART podcast suggestions post and this week we're talking about backstory (thx to kin-no-namazu). Ross got burned out on backstory with The Abandoned, and he had a really fantastical backstory for Water Baby that ended up getting edited out. He wishes he had more backstory for Wet Moon. As for Super Haters, Nick just makes up the backstory as he goes.
Both guys agree that a lot of story that gets cut often turns into backstory and informs the characters even if it's not shown on the pages. Then Ross digs deep into Audrey's backstory and talks about how she's changed over the course of Wet Moon. That spins into a conversation about Wolverine's backstory.

After the end theme, Ross and Nick talk about their own backstories... and old Fairport High School yearbooks!!!
NEXT: Farts, getting into the comics industry, and resolving story arcs.
Ross Campbell tells Nick Marino about printing problems with the Shadoweyes and what he's doing to make the character's colors look the same on the screen and in print. Nick asks Ross about the format for Shadoweyes, spinning into the differences between graphic novels and single issues. This dovetails into a back and forth about comics business and publishing. Trading cards take over and segue into Sam Keith's cover art. Bishop busts into the conversation and leads into Jean-Claude Van Damme movies, finally taking the guys into direct-to-DVD territory.

Ross Campbell tells Nick Marino all about meeting Leonard Nimoy at SDCC because his friend was dressed up as a character from The Abandoned, which somehow leads to a massive LeVar Burton geek out (which reasonably leads to a somewhat massive Star Trek geek out). Talk returns to Comic-Con, specifically Shadoweyes and the Oni panel, which somehow leads to Ross forcing Nick to justify his affinity for Aquaman... which leads Nick into a massive Aquaman geek out. The guys talk Peter David and the hook hand, Will Pfeifer and the magical water hand, and science vs. magic stories. All this somehow leads to a massive WALL*E hate fest (you thought we were gonna say geek out, didn't you?), which spins into a geek out over realistic conflicts in superhero comics (and a final bit of cosplay).
