A Podcast with Kaylie and Nick

Hosts:
Kaylie McDougal and Nick Marino

Related Posts:
Screencaps of ALF s3 e1, ALF s3 e2, and Sailor Moon e8 and e10

Show Notes:
Gordo cruises back into our lives as we begin BARFing all over ALF Season 3. Also, we discovered that listener Kim is a prolific ALF artist!

We review ALF s3 e1 and ALF s3 e2, a couple of mediocre episodes that start off the third season with a blah tone. They provide a few chortles and some wonderful opportunities to ship ALF and Willie, but beyond that they're forgettable.

After that, we discuss Sailor Moon e8 and e10. Thanks to Kaylie choosing non-filler episodes to review, Nick is feeling the show way more.

Still, the plots are shockingly predictable: an evil Negaverse plan leads to a teen fad which ties in with something mundane being haunted and/or cursed which leads to a big battle where Sailor Moon fights an evil monster that was pretending to be an older woman in a position of power. The end.

After the end theme, Nick bitches about winning free vacations and Kaylie gushes about missing Gammy and Dr. Bunny while she was away for Thanksgiving.

Next Episode:
Trevor Ochmonek lives with the Tanners in ALF s3 e3 and we get another goddamn fantasy episode with ALF s3 e4. Plus, Sailor Moon episodes 12-13! Justique and Nick talk about The Image Revolution.

many thanks for the shoutout guys!
these two episodes of ALF are okay to me, these episodes are a bit of a sitcom cliche but they work for ALF. I love the good funny moments in ep 1. I actually like ep 2, not because of the dream sequence in it, but the message behind it that even though he gets on the tanners nerves they still care about him and that even though life with the tanners is not prefect for ALF, he still would not trade it for anything else. nice catches on the screenshots sand gifs!

    welcome back, Kaylie!!

so many awkward weird pauses in this episode, haha. sometimes it seems like there's a delay...

@Kim: That's was got on my nerves about these two episodes!!! They had a bit more of a sitcom cliche vibe going on. I feel like these two episodes didn't invert or parody overused sitcom plots, which is something I love about the episodes in Season 1 and 2.

@Ross: No delay or anything, just lots of awkwardness. SORRY!!!
