A Podcast with Kaylie and Ed #170 – Splash Fight

A Podcast with Kaylie and Nick

Daddy’s back! Ed Marino rejoins Nick Marino and Kaylie McDougal for an episode full of extraterrestrial hijinks and hobos.

We watch as Gordon Shumway goes off the rails in ALF s2 e9 and fights to save his family in ALF s2 e10. Kaylie took screencaps and Nick took screencaps.

Then we get abducted by David DeCoteau‘s 1313: UFO Invasion. It’s an alien invasion featuring oodles of bad acting, guys in undies, and a mature porn star who plays an evil scientist from outer space! Kaylie made ‘caps and Nick made ‘caps.

Next: We’ll be back on September 17th with a recap of ALF s2 e11 and ALF s2 e12, and if we’re lucky a review of DeCoteau’s A Talking Pony!?!

Damn Nick, were I still in the LA area I would be all over finding that house! Malibu’s not so big.

awww sorry to hear your taking a month hiatus, but it is understandable, personal life issues come first. another great podcast anyway.:)
as far as how many ALF puppets there were, as far as I know there were 3, one paul used when he pitched the series to NBC, then the official one which used in the series all the time and then a second back up one that was used in rehearsal time a lot. at least that what I have heard from other ALF fans.

I actually look forward to your review on A talking pony. lol.

I think the stick figures in the picture frame in the top left corner sum up David DeCoteau’s movies.

@backflip: hahahahahahaha those stick figures PERFECTLY sum up all of these 1313 movies. brilliant.

@kim: now that you mention it, i remember reading about the rehearsal ALF who was called RALF. from what i read, he was really ratty and gross compared to regular ALF.

A Talking Pony!?! is going to fucking rock!!!!!!

@jason: yeah, i wish you could find it! i would try but i’m alllll the way down here in long beach and i don’t have a car so crusing around Malibu isn’t in the cards for me.

i used to live right next to a train yard.
man, the rent was low. $630 a month, for a 2 bedroom with hardwood floors. i loved the sound, it was cool.

    believe it or not
i pop my pop corn in olive oil on the stove top and my older sister spritzes her pop corn with olive oil. it’s gooooooooood.

    XDDD breastford wives!

i can’t watch these films by myself. they’re just not as funny as when you guys recount them. the 1313 movies… just… so many… how? what hollywood loophole allows them to shirtlessly exist?
gah! i finally catch up and you guys go on a break.
ah well, rest up and recharge.

@smars: that’s an awesome price!!! Apts have gone up so much recently and it seems like the increases are practically ouT of nowhere. Six years ago I was paying $565 for a so-so one bedroom and now I bet the same place would be at least $200 more.

The 1313s… Yeah. Not as much fun when you’re not on a mission. But still pretty ridiculous!! Stique and I had a good laugh the first time we watched one. and that was just for us, not for the podcast. But I understand that mileage may vary.
