Sequential Underground #53 – Kids Comics vs. Adult Comics

Sequential Underground

Fred Chao is outta this world! He joins Dan Greenwald, Shawn Atkins, and Nick Marino to discuss creating comics for kids versus creating comics for adults.

Fred currently has a Kickstarter campaign going (support it!!) for Alison and Her Rainy Day Robot, a 64-page hardcover children’s book. But his other comics like Johnny Hiro aren’t necessarily created with kids in mind. We explore how his process differs between these different projects.

ALSO: 80s and 90s TV flashback!! How did Night Court make it into Johnny Hiro? What is it about the flame between Zack and Kelly that made Saved by the Bell so special? And what’s wrong with Nick that makes him love ALF so much?
