yeah. so i clearly don't like vodka very much.

  2. 2 justique

That's because you're crazy. And a commie lol

  3. 3 neallll

if communism means i don't have to stare at a wall full of 10,000 types of toothpaste for 20 minutes before finding a suitable one, then yes. yes i am a commie.

sometimes, i really could do with a little less choice, but vodka can take a g-d hike.

Neal: thanks for the Carl Weathers shout-out in the face of Nick's Arnold tunnel-vision.

Muslim banking/usury clause thing: i remember the five pillars of sunni islam, and maybe i did learn about this banking/interest thing in the past since i learned about islam in both high school and college (i think i still have my world religions textbook!), but i don't remember shit about this interest/banking thing. maybe i did learn about it but i probably forgot it immediately.

Spuds whatever: never heard of him!!

is that supposed to be proof that everyone knows about it? because it's in an entry on Islamic banking???

i used to listen to my Cookie Monster Disco 45 on 33 1/3 speed and it sounded like a demonic Barry White.

Sadly, I remember Spuds Mackenzie all too well. I had a Spuds baseball cap. I do not, however, know anything about Islamic lending practices.

  10. 8 Jed Dougherty

Yes I know there is no interest in Islamic Banking.
I remember Spuds McKenzie- though I get him mixed up with the Target pitbull now.

  11. 9 neallllll

that's right. we're getting all culturally informative on your bunk asses. i may not contribute much, but when i do, it hits you like a ton of bricks.

and in this case, a ton of non-interest bearing bricks!

I had no idea about the Muslim banking thing and I'm still confused. Same for the math spatula thing.

Great episode though. :D It was somewhat educational.

  18. 14 neallllll

I come from a long line of educators. all we do is drop knowledge (and deuces)

Oddly, didn't know about Muslim Banking. Do tell.

However, I do know about the original party animal; Spuds... is actually a female.

    - No clue about spuds. I was in the "syllable frogs" age.

    - No clue about Islamic banking.

    - I knew about Mandelbrot and the Mandelbrot set, unfortunately it's not because I'm a closet math nerd, but because I listen to Jonathan Coulton, who wrote a song about the Mandelbrot Set. It sort of makes the lyrics "Mandelbrot's in heaven, at least he will be when he's dead / Right now he's still alive and teaching math at Yale" a little more depressing and not as funny.

  23. 18 neallllll

yeah well, let's pour one unending and fractilicious forty out to our homie mandelbrot.
