hahah ross, i think that was me with the gambit/condom conversation.
the voice-actors in this show are really bad, yeah. it's almost like mega man 8 levels. "we must find him immedibiwattalbly mega man!"
it's weird because i remember watching this show (or watching my brother watch this show) but i don't remember almost anything about it. the animation could not be more horrible. check out the "mutant control agency" sign in the very beginning, totally just some guy's handwriting. and then later when rogue touches wolverine, it cuts back and her whole arm is just colored green.

I think my favorite though is Ross' #4, which looks like Wolverine taking a poop.
Which is particularly relevant considering how this podcast ended (yes, I listened to the whole thing...and just bathed in my nasal horrible voice!).
i've never said it before... but i always feel like i sound really nasal too. i imagine that's because everyone's voice resonates so much more inside their own head. maybe Barry White used to think he sounded like Dr. Claw, but then when he heard his songs he was pissed cause he thought he sounded like Jack Nicholson.
i hate the way my recorded voice sounds too, mainly because to myself i think i sound like Tom Brokaw.
i think in my first podcast appearance we discussed the Rogue/Gambit/condom thing, and i veered it off into creepy territory, talking about those vinyl fetish suits some people wear and whatnot. ahem.

yeah, i think it was #50 that had the Rogue discussion. but i'm not gonna go back and listen to find out, at least not right now!
You know what REALLY bugs me about the animation in the X-Men? The metallic reflections are drawn in black lines the way they are in pre-2000s comics, when in animation you actually do that with lighting, color and shading. You know what I mean? COME ON LAZY!
That being said, I devotedly watched this show even though I was in my early 20s. Was late to work every Saturday to finish watching new episodes.
i only mind those reflections when they're poorly placed... and damn, storm's double boob reflection is the poorest of the placements.

I don't remember Iceman being able to touch Rogue, but I remember Collosus was able to do it circa-2000.
It's in the Ultimate comics where Iceman and Rogue can touch, and I think they did it around the same time as X2, so that it kind of mirrored that romantic experience from the film.
