Not that this matters, but if memory serves me correctly (it rarely does), we had written this story, including Neil Diamond, before Saving Silverman came out (or before I had seen it, at any rate...).

haha, well... as it seems to be going with most of our jokes lately, Pete, i had definitely seen Saving Silverman previous to us writing anything about Neil Diamond into the story. so i was pretty aware of all the Silverman jokes.
but i could be wrong... we made our Time Log short film back in late '01 - early '02. i saw Silverman in the summer of '02. Pete, when we made that film, did we already know Diamond would be on the statue eventually?
personally, i don't remember coming up with anything about Diamond until we really started writing Time Log out in late '04 - early '05...
Shit, I'm really gonna have to think about it... did we even have a script written out when we made the short film (is that what we're calling it now?), or did we just, like, talk about what we were going to do?
I know the idea was in place for the statue to still not be Foster, and for them to ignore that fact, but who exactly it was, I have no memory of.
who are those private eye and spider-person silhouettes in the background in panel 3?!
