About a week and a half ago, we first mentioned the possibility of a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 announcement here on the AudioShocker. Well, now it's official and that's exciting news because we're HUGE Marvel vs. Capcom fans here at this site (as evidenced by our weekly feature, Hyper Combo Wallpaper, which is basically a Marvel vs. Capcom tribute).
In light of this official MvC3 announcement, I'd like to pose this question to comic book and fighting game fans alike -- who do you want to see in Marvel vs. Capcom 3?
Me personally, I have a few favorites in mind that I think would make for excellent additions to the lineup. On the Marvel side, I'd like to see Black Panther, Havok, and She-Hulk join in on the ruckus. As for Capcom, I'm mostly a Street Fighter fan, so my nominations include E. Honda, Oro, and Crimson Viper.
Realistically, the choices on the Marvel side will probably be dictated by their movie slate. That would put Spider-Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, Beast, Storm, Cyclops, and Magneto in there. I'm sure I missed a few, but those seem like the big Marvel choices.
Also, since MvC always seems to pull a "hot" character in from the comics (War Machine in MvC and Cable + Marrow in MvC2), that would probably make Deadpool an ideal addition to keep with this tradition. And, speaking of tradition, I hope that Capcom puts Captain Commando in MvC3 too!
i'm with you on Black Panther on the Marvel side, and of course Marrow, as you know, and a bunch of other no-way-that-they'd-be-in-there characters like Sleepwalker or something. they should have Professor X.
on the Capcom side: Felicia HAS to be in there. and Elena, Ibuki, Necro, Twelve, and Makoto, since i love SF3 but i don't think anyone else does. and also Cammy.
oh yeah, and Mega Man!!
i def think Felicia will be there. she's really popular. there's a good chance Ibuki will too, especially if she's a hit in the new SSFIV out next week.
Prof X would be great, like he's all long range projectiles but you can knock him out of his chair... but he still has moves!!!
i also think Mega Man (or a variation on MM) will be in there for sure.
i was thinking Q could be cool cause he's very comic booky (he's basically the Question).

Deadpool! so i called that one right (wasn't too tough, though). however (and i may be wrong on this), it looks like there might be new characters in the teaser shadows! or just characters missing (as in DP and the Capcom guy now in the trailer have been removed from the silhouettes). in which case, i'm calling the Marvel shadows as Cap, Doom, Cyke, and Nightcrawler. Capcom def has Chunners and Felicia... and what appears to be Captain Commando and someone else.

MvC3 producer says that they're looking to highlight new characters in the game http://www.capcom-unity.com/s-kill/blog/2010/07/06/marvel_vs_capcom_3_producer_interview saying that about a 1/3 of the characters (around 10) should be new to the franchise.

Doc Doom was pretty obvious. i remember early on saying to Justique that maybe the silhouette in the pic had Super-Skrull in it... but then i thought "why would they use Super-Skrull?" but i guess they did! seems sort of like a cheat way out of using the FF... OR maybe the FF are already optioned for video games and Capcom can't use those characters...
as for Chunners, definitely saw that coming. i dunno who Trish is, so whateves for that.
on a different note, we've had some good female characters announced so far... but none from the Marvel side. what's up with that? no Storm, no Spider-Woman, no Ms. Marvel, no X-23, no Rogue, no She-Hulk (pls let there be She-Hulk!), no nothing!!! there are tons of great female Marvel heroes, so i don't know why Capcom is slacking on announcing them.
