   i'd like to follow up on the Cammy stuff and say i think it's great Capcom makes their women characters so ripped and they're not afraid to do that, i don't think i stood up enough for Cammy, heh. like why shouldn't she have ridiculous abs and a crazy bodybuilder body which now that i look at it again is actually pretty realistic? all the guys get to have impossible muscles and even though Capcom has yet to allow any women to get as big as Honda or Zangief or whoever (maybe R. Mika is the closest) at least they get to have muscles. Capcom is the only company i can think of who does this, everybody else keeps their female characters unmuscled and delicate despite whatever their physical abilities are.

   that SF4 Cammy sprite's face is still scary, though. too robotic or something which maybe is the point since she's all brainwashed.

   always been a huge cammy fan, even though i don't really understand her character at all. how does she fight with that HUGE wedgie?

   hah! anyway, ross, i was referring less to her muscular physique and more to the fact that her 3D character model looked like it was just taken from Abel or Ken, and they slapped a couple of small boobs and a weird face on it. i would love to see a female bodybuilder fighter in the SF series, but 1. Cammy's always been established as a sleek framed fighter (unlike her 'roidy appearance we discussed), and 2. the frame they used didn't look like a female bodybuilder, it looked like a male one to me.

   nick: ah, i see what you mean. i still kinda like the model they gave her in SF4, though, i like how narrow her hips are, like she's got zero body fat or whatever. but yeah it's definitely really different from her first appearance, in which she has a body kind of like Chun Li: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b8/Ssf2-cammy.png

   check out THOSE abs! O_O they don't even look human, they look like coconuts stuck inside her costume.

   On the 'roided out Cammy, I was more disturbed by the weird shoulders and biceps. I think if her regular costume was on to cover up the upsetting small man body it wouldn't look as bad. I've always been a big fan of Cammy. She sorta brought my 'Tasha Yar obsession full circle. I never thought her back story cued up with how kickass she looked. Btw I couldn't fully enjoy Avatar with all the valid Imperialism/Indigenous criticisms rolling around in the front of my head.
