I can do that with movies and TV because of the limited little replay value, but music? I'm not so sure...

hate to say this but i think it's natural. at least it happens to me every couple of years. in fact, back in early 2006, i deleted my entire music library except for about 20 songs. i felt that i needed to rebuild my music taste, and i couldn't have the old stuff around AT ALL. and that wasn't the first time i've done that.

since then, i've rediscovered some of the music i used to love. things i once found just okay have become incredible. and i have to search for them all over again, making it a fun and obsessive game as well. yet still, there are some artists that i've discarded completely, never turning back and trying to rediscover their sounds. i say pitch your entire library. i mean DELETE it completely. let fate bring the music you want back to you, and allow yourself to find new stuff without the old music getting in the way.
