I mentioned earlier this week that Bond movies are uniquely formulated to appeal to a wide audience. James Bond is popular because his moves are predictable and consistently entertaining. Despite a battery of negative press, I braved the cold and the cynics to form my own opinion. My thoughts follow, as usual, in 160 characters or less.
QoS sucked. No humor, no gadgets, no fun; I'm unimpressed. The best part was the Minority Report style computer interface. This 'Gritty' 007 is boring.

Oh well, perhaps Daniel Craig will get it right next time.

that's too bad. i still think connery's bond films can't be beat.
No humor? How about when he commented the woman that was hurt was his boss? Was all the humor too sly for you? And the last thing I want to see in another Bond film is a damn invisible car. The formula works to bring the masses into the theatre but curl up with a few of the the books and you'll see that Bond was gritty and damn LUCKY.
James - it wasn't too sly for me - but it was lacking. And the last time I read a Bond book I was 11, motoring along the Norwegian coast and I got carsick.
I left the theater six types of un-entertained. I'll stick to funny/gadgety Bond.
and we almost went to Whitie's a couple weeks ago during a Grass Lake Trip
