It was too dark. The scene with the ferries reminded me of something out of Saw. And I agreed with one critic who thought the white knight slipped too quickly and easily into the dark knight role. The makeup on the Joker was not well kept up and at times you could see Heath's rosy complexion shining through. Hardly a reflection of pure evil. Also what was up with Gotham?? It looked like any normal US city so that the characters stood out more as being out of place than blending in. Also, it's not believable that any man would fall so deeply for Rachael as she's not a knock out by anymeans. She has bags under her eyes and deep lines around her mouth, exposing her age and ethincity. I also am not a fan of Christian Bale. I couldn't wait for the movie to end in fact I cut it off short, just after the dark knight held the little boy hostage. I hated it. It was too dark. I came out dissapointed! I felt that Batman did not have chemistry with any of the characters, movie was very dark and you can barely see the action.
